To the north it is bordered by the Arctic Ocean, to the east by the North Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Caribbean Sea, and to the west by the North Pacific Ocean. This continent includes about 4.8% of the earth's surface. The human population in North America is 579 million and there are approximately 23 recognized countries on this continent.

Culture shock is the personal disorientation aperson may feel when experiencing an unfamiliar way of life due to immigration or a visit to a new country, or to a move between social environments, also a simple travel to another type of life.
